Are these cards from the whole "Craig's" List fakes that are going around? If someone could please let me know I would appreciate it. It seems to me the slabs look a bit off. Your help is appreciated.

The PSA labels do look a little funky. Even if they looked good, though, I'd probably stay away. Those cards just don't seem to fit in with the seller's other current and recent offerings. That might not necessarily mean anything, but those four listings radiate some bad vibes.

It sucks to be suspicious of Cobb / Mantle / Gehrig auctions. It seems as if these same cards in around the same grade keep surfacing together. Here is another auction of similar cards by a different seller.. It could be very well legit but The Craigslist scam will always leave me with doubt.

Josh,

Avoid them. The fonts are wrong on the labels and the barcodes appear to be the same on each pair of cards. Photoshop "magic".

Wow. That is scary. Something is definitely wrong with the red Cobb flip: one line of letters is smaller and the font is slightly wrong. Wow.

Nice catch on the bar code. If the guy had pictured the cards seperately, it could have slipped by me. Guess I am going to have to study the letter and number fonts more.

From the Gerhig Auction:

Q: Hi your auction was referenced on the PSA Board: http://forums.collectors.com/messageview.cfm?catid=11&threadid=651156 not sure why - just wondered if you wanted to check out the thread? mike Apr-11-08
A: Not sure who this Jackass JackWESQ is posting a nonsense message on a forum but rest assured that all of my graded cards listed are not fraudulent and are professionally graded by PSA. I've been in the business for over 25 years and been selling on EBAY for alomst 10 so e-mail me directly with questions. Anthony Luzzi

I'm not surprised that the cert number checks out; however, that Cobb is fake.

Let me first say thank you to ebay id am76 for bringing this to my attention. I've posted on here before under the autograph's page, as I've sold many Ruth PSA and JSA authenticated autographs. I'm an honest seller/person, and do any of you know who I can contact that already has a case open about this? I've already checked the past threads,as well as the PSA message board and realize now that I've been duped. Though not on Craig's List, I did purchase them from someone on-line and I have their contact information.
