Hello, Net54 community. New guy here. I started buying packs in 1970, attended the first National shows in Anaheim in the mid-70s and have been collecting ever since. I’m currently focusing on T206s. I go by the same screen name on eBay and enjoy good business relationships with several names I see on this site.

Welcome David. You are amongst more T206 collectors than probably anywhere else. When you get time you should post a few pics of your favorite ones. Rare backs are still all the rage
Good luck in the hunt and nice chat on the phone today.

You have found a good home here, David… I’m still a relative newbie here as well compared to the legacy Net54ers but, as someone here once told me, this form is like getting a PhD in vintage baseball cards

Explore, share and enjoy!

Jeff

I think of myself mainly as a collector of obscure type cards, but even I have been bitten by the T206 bug. Welcome aboard.

Hello,

I am a new member to this forum and I have 2 collections of T206 cards with a handful of T205's mixed in.
First one was approximately 322 cards all glued in a book. We did some research and soaked the pages in mineral spirits and the cards basically all came off, some real easy and nice, some with glue, tape stains and some minor paper loss. These have all been submitted to PSA for grading except for the 6 we couldn't save. Some have come back in small batches, but still have between 250-270 still at PSA. I have the the ones in my safety deposit box. No Wagner or any of the super rare ones, but a couple of Cobb's, Young's, Matthewson's and other HOF's.

The other group was a total of 81 of them(77 were graded). They were clean and well taken care of as they were stored in a small box the size of the cards. Those were all sent to SGC in October and came back before Christmas. Again a Young, Matthewson and Lajoie to name a few.

My goal here is to talk to someone/multiple someone's about these cards to learn more about them from the experts.

I am not looking to sell until I get them all back and figure out what I have, but will be looking for experts opinions on these, value of them as graded.(Know about ebay), but want your expert opinions.

Any help, contact info. would be greatly appreciated. I would much prefer to talk on the phone as I am always quite busy. Pictures can be sent obviously, but I will tell you I am not very good at doing it. On the Cell phone or email no problem.

I have an Ebay store and have perfect feedback over 2700 and I also am on Blowout Cards forums and that's how I found out about this forum.

Thanks for everyone's time and look forward to talking to some of you about these pieces of art,
