If you ever started collecting another set...
Posted By: Dave
then what would it be?? It maybe a set that you've never even owned a single card of before...I collect T206's. But I do think one day in the future I'd love to at least get a few T3's under my belt. I really think they are one of the nicest looking cards around. |

unfinished sets to start another. But if I had a time machine and could go back to my early days of collecting I would start on several of the small "e" sets; 1909 Obaks; T209 and M101-4/5. |

1922 E121 series of 120. I actually have started the Yankees of this set and It is not that easy to get the cards. |

The Morhouse/Red Sox subset would definitely be a great challenge. It keeps calling to me more and more. So much so that I have considered what cards I would have to part with to begin the set. |

I can't help much, as the closest Morehouse I own is a Boston National--some guy named Maranville, but I admire your choice. Should I ever run across the Red Sox with Morehouse on the back, I'll let you know. If you don't want them, I'll take them myself, altough I fear we won't be communicating on the subject very often. Here's to hoping I'm wrong about that. |

i have always wanted to start the m101-5 set, don't really care about backs sporting news is fine. lots of dead ball era stars still there, jax, and the ruth rookie. some collectors are turned off by the b/w photos but i dig it. same goes for the various 1920s caramel issues. |

toss up between '15 CJs or T3's. I have a few cards of both right now, but it's a heavy load on my wallet to even get a common from either set. I'm going to have to abandon ship with one of these sets pretty soon since im ready to make what will likely be my last big purchase for awhile. |

funny topic...it has been strictly T206 for me all along, and during the last few years i have TRIED to collect other sets, BUT they were never able to hold my interest, most recently T205 & T200...they are both good looking sets, but i keep coming back to T206, like an old girlfriend. |

I already did. T205s. Great looking set and one that you might reasonably assume you could finish. Only 4 really tough cards and none of them will put you out as much as a Magie would. |

You're probably right about the lack of communication between us concerning the subset. Thanks for keeping an eye out, anyway. If I decide to start the set, I will probably pick up Red Sox cards with any back, then sell or trade if a Morehouse back comes along. |

...I've been down that road a bit. As I neared completion of my T206 set, I started accruing E95, M116 and even kept an eye on T3. I got more than half way done with E95, had some very nice M116's from the Nagy collection and a Bender T3. |

Well, after I am done with the T206 Cubs in 25 years, it is possible I will then embark upon the T205 and T200, with some thought given to the T202s and R311. |

The thing I love most about being a type/player collector is that every card in my permanent collection is from a different set. 65 cards, 65 different issues. Every new card is a new set to be enjoyed. It really is an awesome way to collect |

I knew I liked you for some reason. If I ever collected another set, or way, it would be the same way I have up until now. Sets are great.....especially when it's a type set....though I would never be able to replace it again, for many reasons.... |
