GPCs and Stamps Question
Please forgive my ignorance here...
But trying to understand fully the autograph seekers process say in 1950...and understand signed GPCs in general... The PO circle stamp that is on a GPC tells you where and when it was mailed from correct? So say the circle stamp say "Dallas, TX Nov 10 8pm 1950" That means it was mailed from Dallas at 8pm on 11-10-1950? If so...Is there any way that that stamp could be anything other than that? Could an autograph collector have bought a pre paid GPC, then mailed that to someone and then it signed and mailed back postage already stamped and paid for? I hope this makes sense... |
