Default Conditioning Old Bats

Please post your info on how you condition your vintage bats. How often do you condition a bat, do certain bats require more attention than others and how do you know which bat to condition more often, and do you use any other conditioners than lemon oil?
I like to pick out a bat and oil it when i see Miggy hit a bomb!

I've only used lemon oil and feel it does a great job. I'd be interested to hear what others use.

I personally like to use linseed oil. Brings back the original grain of the wood.

How often would you condition a bat? I usually try for once every 2 months.

With me it really depends on the condition of the bat. If I bought a bat from the 40's lets say, and its seen better days, I will probably linseed it and then wait a few more weeks to do it again. Some bats I dont touch at all. Cut off for me is about 60's or so. Anything newer I leave alone. Personal preference though.

I've heard nice things about the beeswax but have never tried it myself. I do know that if you try your regular wood spray, or I've tried some orange stuff, it dries your bat out.

I normally dont do it more than that because I still want it to have that vintage look. I dont want to clean off everything.
