Is just one of those guys you have to root for, no matter what your team is. What a great character and great rep of MLB. Would love to see him have a monster rest of the year. And Cincinnati deserves to have a playoff team.

Players who stay with one team for a long career are rare these days. IMO a definite HOFer although some would prefer he only make the Hall of Very Good.

It would be a travesty for him not to be elected. His best years came before I was an active fan so I don't have the same connection to him, but he's a great player.

Great night for Joey. Find his post game on-field interview, he was so gracious to his teammates and to us Reds fans. 2 for 3 with a home run and 3 RBI's and he got a curtain call after the home run.

I think he is a great person and great ambassador to the sport and we all love that he is with 1 team.

However, I think he needs a few more good years to make it. I think he is borderline and should rack up some votes for several years but I think he falls short.

His WAR at 64.7 is strong indeed. But with only 2095 hits and 343 HR, 1146 Runs and 1109 RBI I think he falls short.

In this era of baseball his career .297 BA and .412 OBP is strong but I am not sure it is enough

I hope he has a monster year the rest of the way..........I have him on my fantasy team.

Let's hope the Reds call up Christain Encarncion-Strand soon as I have him also.

This Reds team will be so good in another year or two.

By the way, I am a Phillies fan.

Bob
