If not "all-time", at least for now. Woo-hoo!

Lubbock Blue Jays - take that to the bank.

It was a beautiful thing, but no classic lines from the announcers, like "The Red Sox win the pennant! The Red Sox winn the pennant! The Red Sox win the pennant! The Red Sox win the pennant!" Or "Do you believe in miracles? Yes!" But I guess Joe Morgan and Tim McCarver don't match up with Russ Hodges and Al Michaels.

Now, on to the Series to see if the curse can finally be killed. I remember '86. An amazing comeback in the ALCS is no guarantee that the curse is gone.

And perhaps we can have a new curse. Steinbrenner fires Torre, sells A-Rod and Jeter. The Yankees never win again. The curse of the bad temper.

uh...before they are Champs they need to win the World Series, or did you forget about that, or did you just get caught up in the euphoria of finally winning something (btw...when was the last time the Sox even won a Division?)

As I mentioned on the chat tonight, the WS is gravy. The Sox will win in afterthought.

Division winner? The Marlins and Angels got over that stigma.

Utica Blue Jays - count on it.

has more class in his little pinkie than King George has in his whole body. I think all managers could take a lesson from the way Torre handled himself with dignity and class during the postgame press conference.
We need more Joe Torres in this world and fewer Michael Irvans and Kobe Bryants.
If George the Ungrateful fires Joe T., he'll be managing somewhere in the majors next year, if he so desires, maybe across town.

Congrats to all the BoSox fans...the better team won and they deserve the trip to the WS. This loss cuts deep and "Yankee Fan" can never be the same (whether we want to admit it or not!).

Take care all,

Mike

The person who looks the smartest in all of this is Peter Gammons who catches alot of undeserved flack. In the preseason he predicted the Red Sox will lose the division to the Yankees but beat them in the ALCS.I predicted the same thing but i wasnt on tv in front of a couple million people when i did it

BTW,my preseason picks were exactly right in the AL
AL East Yankees
central Twins
West Angels
wildcard Red Sox
I even picked the sox to beat the angels, yankees beat twins and sox beating yankees, but then theres the flipside......
NL East Phillies
central Cubs
west Giants
wc Astros
phils beat astros, cubs beat giants in a great series, cubs beat phils.oh well

Congratulations to the Red Sox, from this die-hard Cubs fan. It's nice to see the impossible come to life. Get'er done in the Series!!!
