Mets New Championship Rings Awarded
No, it's not an April fools joke.
The championship ring drought came to an end this week; at least at the minor league level. The Binghamton Mets received their 2014 Eastern League Championship rings during a ceremony at the Mets Spring Training complex in Port St. Lucie, FL on Tuesday morning. I hope the major league team, executives and ownership were on hand since the big league Mets have done so poorly since their last World Series appearance 15 seasons ago. Hopefully the ceremony can act as an incentive for the big league team. It was the Binghamton Mets first Eastern League title in more than 20 years. Minor league championship rings are very cool to collect. For championship ring collectors on a budget, they offer stunning rings with big-league logos. Typically, depending upon whether they are made of solid gold and real diamonds, prices tend to range in the $500 - $2,000 price range. I have seen Yankee minor league championship rings with very similar designs. Any thoughts or comments about this minor league ring? |

It's a little hard to make out the mascot.

Not bad for a minor league ring. I'm more of a fan of the white gold for present day rings.
