Default Barry Sloate Auctions Now Open for Bidding

Posted By: barrysloate

My November 13 internet auction is now open for preview at www.sloateauction.com. There are still a few things that need to be added, such as extra pictures for the larger group lots, as well as some edits, but thought today would be a good time for everyone to have a look.

Bidding will begin Thursday October 23 at 10:00 AM. Any questions, please email me at bsloate@att.net or just post them on this thread. Thanks.

I had some books Max, but held them back. Consignments always get priority over my personal material.

Great stuff, I will be bidding Barry, if you have lifted the ban on me? I think I have served my 2 auction ban for not paying right? Dan.

Interesting strategy: multiple bumps while the auction still is in preview mode. Can't wait to see all the creativity emerge when it goes live.

Barry,

In case you're tracking, I got your catalog in the mail today. (Plus, this gives another of those bumps Rob was talking about.)

Thanks Jim, glad it came...and you can never bump this thread to the top too many times. What's more breathtaking than an auction in preview?

Barry -

I wouldn't trust that McKee fella.

Especially since he likes the same stuff I like.

Please keep the ban active.

Just to let you know that the BSA catalog arrived today out here at the edge of the empire. Nice mix of cards. Am going to go hard on a couple, at least.

Hey, Barry! When you go out to eat do you check the menu for typos before you decide what to order? I do. Drives the wife crazy. Waitress, too. You ought to see the eyeballs roll.

Dan and David - I always find at least one typo in my catalogue, no matter how many times I proofread it. Sometimes I even find one weeks after the auction has begun.

A usual, a very eclectic selection of sportscards....your auctions are the best.

Also, it's always COOL, to see a card you once owned (and sold, or traded) in an auction. The Schlei UZIT in Lot #78
was once in my collection.

Compare that UZIT back with this one (in its free form).......

Ted- i assume you mean the "Hooks Wiltse" Uzit, and i know what you mean about seeing cards you once owned in an auction...i "used to" own that exact Uzit also wink.gif

I just edited my T205 Mathewson to note that it has the Piedmont Factory 42 back. I will change the Downey shortly. Thanks for pointing it out. Like I said, I always miss something (and thanks for the free bump, I will start a new thread tomorrow for my last day).

Barry,I still havent got my dog back...I'm sure its just an oversight on your part because you're preoccupied with the auction and also with rubbing your hands together and laughing evil everytime someone bids.

PS This time remember to poke holes in the package,he runs on oxygen
