Anyone collect or have interest in old Baseball theme porcelain signs, I found one but the condition is poor advertising a produce called Baseball Liniment made by Pearson remedy Co, Burlington, N.C. ( Nelke-veribrite signs) Please Advise if having information about this type sign--thanks--

I believe those signs are more recent and are fantasy pieces that are inspired by actual vintage products/labels if it's the one I'm thinking of.

But I'm not an expert and would have to see it to give a full opinion.

Default Nelke-veribrite signs

There are a few differences from the repro, as the makers name at the bottom right Signs ending with a "S" Someone sure beat this sign up to make it look old--back looks different too, --question much value is this condition--thanks

Post a picture of your real example to compare. Would be educational to all the collectors of signs. Thanks.

So what's being said there was never a sign made like this in the real world correct. We win some and lose some but that's the business we're in.

Default one traders junk is another traders junk

traded the sign for another piece--I'm not familiar with comics either, but you cant trade out of a empty cart---I win some and lose some and I always will!

Just my opinion but you did well in the trade - key 1966 issue and 1st appearance of Black Panther.

Of course he did well. Getting any value out of a recent sign that by all accounts was created for the sole purpose of deceiving collectors is a big win. Of course that win would be based on the OP disclosure to the buyer the real nature of the sign. If on the other hand the OP did not disclose the facts behind the sign then ot would be wrong to call this a win. If Tom Rebert sold this sign without disclosing exactly what it was then ot would clearly show a lack of ethics.
