Just stumbled upon another 1943 Imprenta Montiel on ebay. Card was in a vintage lot and I emailed the winning bidder and bought it.

A huge thanks goes out to the previous owner for parting with this one.
I've coveted it for a while and am extremely pleased!

Picked this up at a local estate auction today...It's a c1910's pinback for the Lincoln, Nebraska minor league team - probably the greenbackers. It is the first and only Lincoln minor league pinback that I have ever seen.

ebay score. poorly marked auction, bad category. And for once it turned out to be as nice as the seller claimed. Off to be graded soon.

Great photo of League Park Rob. Were there any photos from inside the park?

Don't think so. I asked the seller if he has any other League Park photos and haven't heard back. I have a few from inside the park in my collection, but unfortunately those seem to show up less often than the outside-the-park views.

Anybody want to take a shot at dating this? Seller said 1890's, but I don't think it's quite that old.

Barry,

I thought so too, and the language of the ad is fantastic. I decided I had to own it as soon as I saw it on ebay, and I ended up winning it for about 1/7 of the max bid I entered. I guess I'm lucky nobody else had to have it.

Don't you just love those guys who were born in and then died in the same town....

Fred Toney, Nashville Tennessee.

139-102 record, 2.69 ERA, Started 271 games, finished 158 of them, well over half, 28 shutouts. Most modern pitchers won't complete 28 games in their career.

My newest Collins McCarthy acquisition.

Won this on Ebay a couple of weeks ago. It's huge photo of the 1908 Massachusetts House of Representatives featuring future president Calvin Coolidge.

For those interested, the photo came today and it's incredible. The condition is a solid VG to EX. The photographer is listed at the bottom (I couldn't see it in the scan) and as it turns out it's Elmer Chickering, who name needs no introduction on this forum.

Thank you John.

Was surprised that i ended up with the high bid.

BTW, that is an awesome N173.
Also, that Tolstoi Tinker is a great card as well.

Tony--nice E90-1 additions.
You must be down to needing just a few now?

Joe D.-- Congrats on the E90-2 Wagner.

With regard to everyone else, many nice cards in this thread. Thank you for sharing.
