Default Portland...not really

Hi Andy...I wish there was a good show in Portland featuring pre-war...but there just isn't. The Seattle (area) Meridian school show is a fantastic good time, but it's 3 hours away. I live just over the WA border from Portland so I would love to have quicker access to the goods...nope, although I do see the frequent Jantzen Beach (OR Side shore of the Columbia) show still operates, there is no prewar. Good for supplies and filling the 1971 Topps football fetish I have though...
So does this mean you are heading out this way?? If we have time, we should meet up my friend. You could revisit some of the old cards you've sent me over the years!

Default I too wish

there are decent card shows in Portland but alas... no and the Jantzen Beach show had one dealer with very few prewar (less than a dozen) and 10x the $. That's why I'm going to the WSSCA show this weekend, never been but managed to contact a dealer ahead of time and will have at least 3 cards waiting for me. Hopefully there will be more...

Andy,

Maybe no shows or major dealers, but there's a lot of vintage collectors there and Portland is a fun to city to wander around hoping to find PCL material. Not saying you'll find any but....

Jim,

I don't have anything specifically on your list (tough cards by the way), but stop by and say hi anyways at the WSCCA show.

It is too bad there is not a good show here. As Robert mentioned, there are quite a few vintage collectors here. I used to drive up to the Tacoma Dome show a few years back, but have not made it in a while.

The shows and shops in this fine city offer a nice selection of really shiny cards in which investment is the underlying theme.

No pre-war for you!

Portland is one of my favorite cities and I will probably be traveling there more frequently in the future. I was hoping to combine my trips with shows. Thanks for the feedback.
