Default Getting Ahead of the Batter (or...not):

For years, it has been a given that pitchers should make every effort to stay ahead in the count; Now, every 'first-pitch strikes' contributes to a new stat.

Today, however, something happened that probably occurs more often that we would assume:

In the Marlins game against the Mets, both lead-off batters hit homers on the first pitch they saw in the first inning.
