And the colorist really messed up the uniforms - the caps were navy with a red brim and red c, the stirrups were navy on top, red on bottom...

According to the Hall of Fame's uniform data base, the Reds went with the all-red cap in 1910-11, and didn't use it again until 1956 (with a white button on top!). They ditched it the next year, but brought it back for a lengthy run in 1967.

I didn't know they used blue hats for that long! Wow. But I have to say, I love the blue Reds hat. I've wanted to buy one for years now but haven't found one. They released one in their 150th campaign but it was pretty ugly. I picked up the blue jersey and I get comments when I wear that one out and about.
