Default Happy July 4th- Post a Card or Baseball Item In Honor of America's Pastime

We are living in interesting times. But we are doing so in the Greatest Country on Earth. The USA is a County that has, time and again since declaring Independence in 1776, faced, addressed, and overcome countless social, economic, political, and geo-political issues, and we have always come out stronger. And through it all (at least since the Civil War), there has been baseball. In the immortal words of Terrance Mann from Field of Dreams:

"The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It’s been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt, and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game, is a part of our past, Ray. It reminds us of all that once was good, and that could be again. Oh people will come, Ray. People will most definitely come."

Here is Dr. Archie "Moonlight" Graham to lead us off in this thread; who better to start the healing than a baseball-playing Doctor.

HAPPY 4th of JULY.....enjoy celebrating this historic event when we declared our Independence from the British 246 years ago.

The start of this realization first occurred 6 months later on Christmas eve....when George Washington and his troops crossed
the Delaware River on their way to Trenton, NJ.

Prior to that famous event, Washington had not had a significant victory over the British troops. The battle of Trenton was our
1st significant victory. Following victories in Princeton, Morristown, New York, Valley Forge (and subsequent battles) gained us
momentum which resulted in our winning the Revolutionary War.
.
George Washington mustering his troops....the evening of Dec. 24, 1776 in Taylorsville (Washington Crossing), Pennsylvania.

Here is a 1918 program with a scorecard inside filled out for a July 4th game!! Chicago vs Detroit and Cobb went 5 for 6 that day and Joe Jackson was gone working to support the war.

I googled "baseball card with fireworks on it", and out of the multiple results this was the one that had the most realistic fireworks - a 2015 Panini Prizm Fireworks of Mike Trout. I think I was fortunate that "Fireworks" was part of the name of the card.
