Default Total Cards Graded - PSA SGC BGS

From this article (July 2020):

https://sportscollectorsdigest.com/c...sgc-dominating

Since it started in 1991, PSA has graded 79,911,804 items (as of April 9) – that includes cards, memorabilia and autographs. BGS has graded over 12 million items (as of early April.)

That number blows my mind that maybe now 85 or 90 million items were ever graded by PSA.

Anyone know how many SGC has graded since they started?

I wonder why PSA only trumpets grading 40+ Million items on their website, if the actual number is double.

Any ideas?

Default number of PSA items

Michael- offhand (and tongue in cheek), I'll point out that accuracy has
never been a PSA strong point

Perhaps that they only trumpet the ones they know are properly graded? And/or authentic

Or perhaps their tracker is miscounting?

Or perhaps they do want to boast

The article says the 80M items includes cards, memorabilia, and autographs. Could the 40M figure just be in regard to cards alone?
