Default Need a little help with two Cubs from 1945 WS Photo

I have tried to find out the names of the first and last players in this photo. The 1945 World Series program didn't help. They may also be players who did not make the WS roster as Cy Block didn't. Thanks.

Second player looks like Hank Borowy and last player looks like Nicholson. Cy Block was a pinch runner in one of the games. ETA, I’m thinking the first player could be Stan Hack.

Cliff,

As usual you are right as rain. I do not know why I thought Cy Block was the second one. I guess because of the beef he had with Chandler over him announcing serviceman released before Sept 27 would be eligible for the WS and then not stepping in and having them get a full share. I did not read far enough down on the WS roster to see Cy as number 53. Again a rush to judgement on my part and I thank you for the corrections

Jim
