Default T206 Contest - Totally Free

Been here over a year now, and have "met" some really great folks. Buying, selling and trading. So, giving back to the Net54 community and having some fun.

I have a group of cards headed to SGC Tuesday on a 10 BD turn around. I have selected 6 of them for a contest.

Here are the rules;

One Submission per member.

Entry must be posted on here by midnight, Friday Jan 29th (Eastern).

Decide what grade SGC will assign for each card.

Then, select which of the prizes you would like if you win. Those cards are also in the package to SGC.

The cards which are prizes are at the bottom. Three cards to choose from.

The six in the contest is as follows:

Cards are:
A- Moran
B- Shaw
C- Tinker
D- Phelan
E- Snodgrass
F- Davis

So a correct entry would look like this;

A-35
B-20
C-40
D-20
E-10
F-10

Prize: Moran

Thanks Jimmy. And send me your PP addy so I can send a love offering.

OK, you can omit the last line.

I will add all your scores. In this case, 135. Whoever is the closest to the actual total for these six cards wins. High or low, it doesn't matter. In the case of a tie, first post wins.

If a card in those six comes back "altered" in anyway, that card will be omitted from all entries and the winner will be based on the other cards.

OK, you have a week to enter. Let's have some fun with this.

Here are the six for you to grade:

I have only owned a couple of graded cards, and I broke them out right away. So this is only a wild guess.

Thanks for the contest.

Shaw, Phelan, Snodgrass, Davis: Trimmed. For your sake I hope that they aren't, but I wouldn't be surprised. Good luck though!

I hope not too. I don't want trimmed cards in my collection.
But, they all measure very close to one another. And others I own. Why would I submitt them if I thought they were trimmed? Come on now.

Just tryin to have fun with a sub.

Not making money at all.All for fun.

Yeah, go ahead and edit your sub. The three to pick from are at the bottom. These are the prizes for the winner. Pick which one you would like.

I am not sure how the winner is being determined, but

show me a card in an SGC 15 or SGC 25 holder or,

I think entries including impossible grades should be disqualified.

I guess if the winner is the closest to the sum of the grades, it doesn't matter, but I might want to change a 20 to a 17 then. That would be a not quite fair poor-fair.

But then again it's not my contest and I appreciate the generosity of Jimmy for doing this.

As Frank (and others) has stated, please make sure your entry jives with the SGC grading scale. I have recorded all entries thus far on a spreadsheet. If you need to adjust your entry to relate correctly to the scale, go ahead and edit. But only for that.

Here is the SGC scale:

From a Cardinals fan, I can't be surprised to see a Cub fan posting another non eligible grade after the following post.
