This guy just recently came across my radar because he posted an ebay listing of a Nebraska Indians cabinet photo which he claimed had Chief Meyers in it. I messaged and told him he was mistaken. He spent the next 20 to 30 minutes telling me I was a blowhard, with no knowledge and I couldn't afford his photos. He did end up changing the listing to say that the photo had Chief Johnson in it after I told him that Johnson played for the NI team and not Meyers, but I also told him that Johnson was not in this photo. He listed it that way anyway.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/13441376578...Bk9SR-bTh9i8YQ

Taking a peek at his other listings he has numerous photos in which he claims IDs of Honus Wagner, Cy Young and others that are clearly, CLEARLY not who he claims them to be. I was told that he is a member here who posts under a couple different accounts.

Knickerbocker360 and Detroit58

Here are his other listings.

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?item...yrodgersrelics

I'm curious if you guys think that even if these were actual photos of Honus Wagner and Cy Young would they sell for his asking price?

Is this the guy who is always posting pictures here that he's convinced are of the most important people in the game from before their playing days? Then he asks for opinions and loses his mind when nobody agrees with him.

LOL, I just now noticed in the description that he thanked me for pointing out Chief Johnson in the photo when I did the exact opposite. Batshit crazy!

This is the same clown that has the 60K Wagner cabinet for sale. I think he uses some image comparator to tell him the image has a high probability of being somebody it isn't. I think there was a thread about this person in the past.

Yes, that's him! We should all email this guy and totally confuse him. Tell him it's actually Jim Thorpe...

I think he would have better luck getting people to believe his "Honus Wagner" cabinet was actually Paul Rudd.

Come on, guys, be kinder to this fellow. This is as dead a ringer for Honus as you could ever hope to find. Just squint your eyes so much that the building pressure causes you to go into convulsions, and you, too, will see Mr. Wagner...

Looks like he has another Wagner listed. This one is only $150,000.

Here is a quote from his description: "I should be stunned if a soul on earth disagreed this is Honus Wagner."

Love the $150K Wagner cabinet!

How come fleabay allows this moron to advertise things like a $150K Wagner but will close down other $10 auctions because of questionable authenticity?

Could this possibly be the same person? The knucklehead would probably try and sell them as "Lurch Adams" pictures.

I just had a 20 minute call with the Detroit58 person. I don't think it's the same person, but he adamantly defended his incorrect photo id's. It was like beating my head against the wall.

Default Doppelgangers

I'm terrible at doing these comparisons. I purchased a postcard that I thought contained a HOFer. No one agreed. Needless to say ... it was the last time I purchased a postcard hoping there was a face match to a known player .

On a lighter note ... there are multiple postings on the internet of historical doppelgangers of celebrities. Here's some I liked:
