Default Who is more of a shocking disappointment this year?

Andrew McCutchen - .241/.315/.406

or

Bryce Harper - .234/.375/.439

I didn't see either coming.

As a Pirates fan, I have to go with McCutchen. Not only based on the hitting stats you posted, but his defense has been lacking as well.

I have to say Harper because he is younger and thus should be in his peak. (since the end of the roid era player peaks have gotten younger to the 22-26 range rather than the old 24-28 )

Harper should be having his "Trout" seasons now, but it appears that he has some holes that scouts have found and teams have exploited.

McCutchen. Harper will adjust in time to the changes that have been made as to how he's being pitched to. McCutchen has just fallen off of a cliff.

He's been a good player, but I never saw him as the superstar some have made him out to be.

Harper because he started the year so strong. You can see now he has no clue at the plate and keeps changing his stance and even choking up on 2 strikes which he never did before.
