On 2nd though, maybe the framing makes them look like that. Get the Cy Young and Morecai Brown graded.

I think they just appear trimmed bc of how they look in the matte frame...need to find a way to safely remove them.

I agree. The Cy and Mordecai cards are quite desirable...as are the Broadleaf backs. It’s hard to tell how much back damage there may be. It’s cool to have cards like that with family ties. Congrats.

Default Great find!

SGC all the way! You will wait a long time but these would pop in SGC holders and the grading price is VERY reasonable. Most of these can be done for $15 per at a value of under $500 each. The Young and Brown will cost you $35 each. I'm thinking if you are good with scissors, try to cut the matte away at the sides. Cutting as close as you can get, the corner mounts might fall off easier. I'm jealous!

Congrats either way!

Peace, Mike

Another question if y'all don't mind. Where should I store this until I am able to find what I want to do? I live in a very humid part of the US.

Cool. How about a little background? Are you going through his old house? Who had the framed cards and how was it stored?

Well I was talking to my uncle over last weekend and he brought up how he had some old tobacco cards framed sometime in the 2010s just for aesthetic reasons.

I got him to send me pictures and I decided to post them here because my buddy said some of them were quite rare…

Talked to my uncle again tonight and convinced him to go through his grandfather’s old desk again and found another 2 cards.

I can’t believe it.

Unless your Uncle's place is getting burgled every other weekend I think he's ok just keeping them in a closet.
Just don't tell all your buddies or the next door neighbors kids and it's very unlikely anyone but you will give them any thought until you decide what to do with them.
