Default SURVEY..is your T206 Charlie Hemphill a "rare" variation?

Posted By: Martuzzi

Another obscure variation, similar to Pennsylvania Ted's T206 Joe Doyle with the print dot. This one's a T206 Charlie Hemphill with part of the "HE" in his name missing. I noticed one for sale on ebay and the seller claimed that about 1 in 50 have this flaw. I'm curious to know what the members of the board think? Is this a hard to find variation or not? If you're interested, please have a look at your Hemphill t206 and post whether or not it has part of the "HE" missing. The one I own has the name printed properly.

Current Count:
Partially missing "HE" = 0
No print flaw = 1

Looking forward to hearing your responses,
Martuzzi

There are so many T206's with minor glitches like this that I find it hard to get excited. But bidders are always ready to pay a premium for them.

Default SURVEY..is your T206 Charlie Hemphill a "rare" variation?

hello all!!!

i have seen a few of these....i own 3....2 piedmont 150's and a sovereign..

i paid $150 for one of them(a little high)...they are around, you have to look real close at them...

they appear to be "print flaws" ...not to start arguing semantics, this is a print flaw where part of the "h" and "e" were blocked out for some reason, similiar to the snoddy, but noone has put value on them except for a few of us chasing some....

i have seen a few more examples also out there. i theorize noone has really took notice, maybe if it were "emphill" people would notice...

we'll have to see how many more people show interest
