I'm looking for instructions on how to break a card out of a GAI holder safely. |

For all slabs I want to crack I take a small wirecutter (almost like pliars) then I crack any corner. I then carefully take a flathead screwdriver and pry it open, running the flathead down the seam. So far it's worked on all of them fairly easily. There are many other ways to do it too. regards |

I take a needle-nosed pliars and chip off a bit all the way around. You are more likely to get damaged than the card, with flying plastic! I'm sure a fine saw, made to cut plastic and run by electricity would be better, but I never got one. |

I was also concerned about the "nesting" issue Julie mentioned when I cracked my first GAI holders (which is why I started with 1959 topps commons). Here's what I found worked. |

One of these approaches will probably work with GAI too |
