Default 1937 World Series Program (Joe D), Stengel signed letter

Posted By: Dan Paradis

Does anyone have any idea what the value of these might be (or where I could check to find out myself). I didn't see any sales on EBAY.

Thanks.

Dan

Although its a great item I do not think that the magazine is a actual world series program. I believe it might be a commemorative magazine sold at the time of the world series.

The Stengel is also a nice item with a autograph, if real and not a secretary signature, would be a nice add to the collection!!!

Just my 2 cents

There is real 1937 world series for sale on ebay right now. It is actually one that I could have purchased last week at a local card auction. I decided to go with the one that I have listed on Ebay right now. The 36 program that I have is in a lot better shape than the 37 program currently on Ebay. Here is the two links to both. I hope this helps.

The letter looks secretarial to me.

Thanks for the responses. I think I'll give the items back to the owner and let him sell them at the private auction. I think he thought he could get more on EBAY, I'm not so sure.

It does look like the Casey Stengel autograph is authentic. I compared it to PSA/DNA autograph's on EBAY. However, what do I know about authentic autograph's???

Thanks again.

Dan

"It does look like the Casey Stengel autograph is authentic."

1959 signature, lower case "s" should be open at the bottom...that one is closed (strike 1)

"g" should have a loop at the bottom....that one is triangular (strike 2)

"l" height is much too short in comparison with the "t"
(strike 3...it's an out!)
