Has anyone seen hats with possible team initials on them from the late 19th century? What are your opinions on this:

The seller indicated that it is "bbc" which would typically mean "base ball club" back then. However, there is usually a team name that preceeds this "bbc" designation. That seems to be lacking in this case.

It would be rare to be seen on the hat. Most of them only placed it on the shirt or belt.
