Default What's your opinion?

So this is this guy locally is starting to sell off some of his collection. Some of the stuff he is throwing out there is either really awesome or really fake. I received some pictures and using REA catalogs I tried to do some homework but I'm just not an auto person. Is this stuff legit or on par with coach's corner?

I'm not an autograph expert, but from genuine signatures of those three that Ive seen, I don't like them, especially the "Gehrig". That one looks terrible, and the other two don't look quite right either. Of course, other's opinions may vary.

The "Gehrig" is one of the worst I've seen. The "Cobb" is better, and the "Foxx" is the best of the three.

They're all bad.

All three look bad to me...it also appears the paper has been artificially aged.

Default Autographs

I am not an authenticator, but in 20 years of collecting autographs, I would not touch a single one of those. The Foxx is the closest of the three but it is wrong in several spots.

I remember a HORRID Gehrig on ebay once. Worst ever. Darn I wish I could find the picture, I may have saved it on my home computer. IF I find it, I'll post it. Would be good for a guffaw or two..haha.

Than why do you keep attesting to Marino's "skill"?

He never produced a "vintage" signature that couldn't be spotted as fake with just one glance.

I figured as much. It was one of those "if it seems to good" moments.
