Default a classic

Was going through my old pics and found this. Who else remember s the sloppy Amish guy with the cheapo vampire (does not show up in mirrors) t206 wagner and the marvelous collection of lubes and lotions (not to mention whatever that is on the t.v.).

After spending all his money on a Wagner, he couldn't afford a girlfriend so he invested in a lot of lotion.

BTW I made the thread name intentionally mysterious so everyone would have the same reaction I had this morning to seeing this picture again. This picture is so funny that if it was in a movie I would think it was too unrealistic.

Well, that was an entertaining read. Thanks for posting the links Eric, so us newbs could catch up on that bit of net54 lore.

That kid really swung for the fences, going straight for the Wagner scam on a pre-war card forum.

Speaking of pictures, it's a shame that Wonka's brilliant images no longer appear on those threads. Not casting aspersions at John, of course. But his Photoshop work is top-notch and I am sure that more than a few of us laughed out loud when seeing his contributions.

Default Wagner

That was such a Great Funny Thread. I love how his thumb does not even touch the card as if it were suspended in air. He was a little off with his photo shop image.

The lotion bottle he was originally holding in the picture must have been a slightly different dimension.

Gentlemen, obviously you are a discriminating bunch, and I admire that. In fact it is for that very reason that I am approaching you with this keepsake that has been in my family for generations. Yes, it is none other than the very Saturn V rocket that propelled Neil Armstrong et. al. to the moon.

I am asking for equal trade in 1990 Upper Deck cards since I have no real interest in rocketry. And I hope you can see from the 1952 Topps Babe Ruth RC in the background that I am in all ways a trustworthy person with whom to do business with. My thanks in advance for your fair offers.
