Default eBay bidding - Irregularity?

I was bidding on this 1978 sheet - a bit beat up, but good enough for my needs (have 4, need 2).

Check out the bidding history - I bid $150, then someone else bid $150 and won it. Even if his high-bid was greater than $150, it would have to have sold for at least $151 or something right?

I've never seen something like this, so I'm wondering whether anyone can help explain what may have happened.

Then when he saw his bid was maxed by yours, he bid again.

Sadly, its simply the eBay rule around minimum bid increments, and who wins if you both bid the same amount (spoiler alert: the first bidder wins). I assume that you were probably using a sniping service with multiple servers, like Gixen, which is why you have two bids at the same time for the same amount.

I never bid in round prices. For example, I would have bid $150.11.
