Default Positive Ebay story

This may be a little boring and/or off topic but I know a lot of people have had negative experiences with buyers on ebay and I thought I might share a recent positive experience with two buyers. This is not exactly a ringing endorsement of my own brain power but I made a mistake and sent the wrong card to a buyer. The real buyer was kind enough to wait patiently for his card to get back to me and the buyer who recieved the "extra" card was honest enough to send back to me as soon as he received it. What could have been a nightmare due to my boneheaded move instead restored my faith in humanity. Like I said it may be a boring story but most ebay stories end up being negative and I thought I would share a positive. Has anyone else done this or had this happen as a buyer?? These two easily could have burned me if they wanted to.

A worthy story Jerry, thanks for posting. I received the wrong item once and another bidder received my card. The seller felt so bad. I asked him to contact the other buyer and asked if we could just mail each other our items as to save time from having to mail back to the seller and then re-mailing. The other buyer was more than happy (as his item was a bit more pricey). The seller wanted to double my postage costs but refused, I said I was happy to help out on an honest mistake. It all worked out well and the 3 of us were happy!

I received the wrong card last week and I'm STILL waiting on the seller to let me know where my card is and what to do with the wrong one I received. Ridiculous!

I had a really odd one.

A book showed up one day. Not one I'd bought, and not from a seller I'd bought anything from. It was a guide for some vampire/werewolf role playng game of some sort.

I emailed the seller since there was a thank you note in the envelope. They said they'd check into it. After a couple weeks I sent a reminder and asked if I could send it somewhere for them. Still checking. After another couple weeks I asked again and got no response at all. The return address wasn't legible enough to send it back. After a year, maybe longer I listed it and got maybe $15. (I hadn't heard from any friends or relatives asking if I'd got it or if I liked it either)

I still have no idea how they got the address. All I can think of is that Ebay had some problem and sent a wrong address.
