Default '54 T Aaron grading opinions

Posted this in my much longer thread, but going to ask separately here too:

With the tape that was pulled off in the upper left hand corner (and the small rectangular mark left there, along with the paper thinning/loss)....thoughts on whether this will get a PSA number grade? An (mk) qualifier? Altered?

Hoping for a 1.5, but I don't want to send it in just for an A

That's a nice looking Hank RC which should get a 1-1.5. But even an A is worth getting as then folks know it is real.

I think it will come back a ?? questionable/altered copy, John, so in order to save you the disappointment and heartbreak, you should just send it to me for a reprint kind of price.

Yeah my logic of not bothering for an A isn't sound, even though I doubt I'll ever sell it. Am not concerned about the authenticity of the card, but I have quite a personal (and again, not too logical, but it exists) bias against "A" slabs from any TPG

Regardless, I should send it in for the slab protection too.

Agreed. And in fact if you never sell it, your heirs will thank you.
