Default Babe Ruth Hotel Suite in Texas

I thought some might be interested in this. A couple of weeks ago my wife and I took a weekend to go over to San Antonio and stay at the historic Menger Hotel. It's the oldest hotel in Texas and still operating. Like a time capsule from the Victorian Era. Has a ton of history and ghost sightings. I'm a huge Babe Ruth fan and right next to our suite was the Babe Ruth Suite 3032. He stayed here in 1930 when the Yankees played the San Antonio Indians. The picture is of Ruth standing right in front of the hotel which still looks the same. Next time I'm requesting the room Ruth stayed in. They also have a Mae West Suite where she stayed once. Teddy Roosevelt recruited his Rough Riders in the hotel bar and there was a lot of his stuff in there as well. Enjoy.

Very cool! Did you recreate the Ruth photo in front of the hotel?

It’s an awesome hotel. Great photos in and around the bar. Good drinks too.

Great hotel! You can have a few drinks in the bar and pretend you're about to go to Cuba.
