Saw that story earlier.

It was a nice story, maybe I was being a grinch after watching. If the action and event meant so much to her memory and formation it seems like she would have at least spent more than the 30 bucks a 5 would cost. At least a nice nm 8 copy for him to set out at around a hundred.

Just seemed like a great premise kinda half heartedly done. But dad still liked it.

Maybe she had no idea what different numbers on the cards meant. Whenever I share a few of my cards w/ guests they have no idea the grading system they simply see it as a Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, etc, etc card and go WOW!

It’s not really about the $ or the number on the slab. I think the father getting emotional shows that.

That is a fact.

I can add one that just happened on here. I had fellow member PM me after reading a thread and offered to send me a card for free. I looked and it is one I don't have of my favorite player so I was very happy to accept member aelefson's amazing offer.
