Default Opinions requested on a Tex Rickard boxing promoter signed rain check.

I came across this rain check in a collection I recently purchased. It's from 8/11/1927 and signed by promoter Tex Rickard. The ticket is for a boxing match held in Yankee Stadium. I did some checking and learned the Yankees were in Washington that day. Also, the match was Jack Delaney DQ Paolino Uzcudun. What puzzles me is that the rain check is signed on all four sides by Rickard in green ink. The writing is very neat and does not appear to be rubber stamped. Was this a peculiarity to Rickard? Are others known? The ticket itself is more of a darker cream color. Comments and observations are appreciated. Thanks.<br>

That's part of the ticket itself. Not signatures. Sorry.

That's interesting. Can you explain the purpose behind this? Thanks.

It was pretty common for promoters to put their facsimile autographs on tickets during this time period. Rickard and some of his co-promoters especially.

Sometimes on the front of the tickets, sometimes on the back.
