Hello,

I saw this a few times and almost bought it. Looks fine but you do see Jennings all the time from that set. Still a great type card and a good price

A bit of a gamble to me at that price for one of the most common cards from the set with it being raw..but ya never know. I don't believe it's trimmed...but I don't believe your gonna get a 6 or 7 on it either. There looks to be some chipping on the edges on the back unless my eyes are just that bad.

Good luck.

Why not just put it in your collection and forgo the time, expense, and angst of getting it graded?

It looks to me like a nice card. The top and bottom of the card seem parallel, but not perpendicular to the sides, there's a bit of a parallelogram thing going on there.

Good buy. Be happy with it as it is!

That guy refused my offer of $395 about 4 times so good for you. I think the card is fine and a very fair deal. Good Luck if you decide to play the grading game. Dan.

Thanks guys for all yalls help. Ill update you once I do have it graded. I think im going to send it in the day I get it one day mail, And I think Im going to do the 1 day grading. I think its at least a 7(lowest) and does have a chance at an 8. It does have sharp corners from what it looks like and I dont think the chipping on the back is that bad, if not normal for the issue. What grade do yall think it will grade. Im taking guesses and Ill post the result hopefully next week.

One of the pics he shows a corner that is a bit rounded. The chipping is not major so i think it will get a PSA 5....my opinion.

I was just looking at that last pic as well. Does it look like paper lose, and being on the back what do you think it will do to the grade.

Thanks for the guess of a 5, If it were only a 5 I would try sending it again, It looks much nicer than a 5, but who knows with these 3rd grade companies

Jennings Tango Eggs in psa 8 are not rare and I bought one 3 yrs back at $650 I think.

Assuming 8s still go for somewhere near this, even if it is not tampered with seems like a lot to pay for what appears to be a 6 at best?

I think the Tango's themselves have dropped in value a bit...like everything else. The Jennings being one of the more common cards has also taken hits...a SGC 80 went for $376 a couple months ago. An SGC 92 Jennings went for $862 back in October. A PSA 6 went for $361 a couple months back as well.

Will you make money...lose money...who knows. I'd just say enjoy the card until you find yourself wanting to move it and then worry about what it will grade.

About a 5, Ive had more Jennings that any other player, about 6-8 of them over the years.

I highly doubt any of the Tangos will be trimmed. They were basically discovered within the graded card era (about 1992), and most have sharp corners already (many have diamond cuts). Most trimmed cards were trimmed pre1990.

PS. Dont believe the price guides when they say there is 20 of them, there is about 5 X that happy.gif

Default Just back from PSA, Bought raw on ebay

Just back from grading. I bought this way back in January and just got around to grading it.
Came out a solid 7! I know there are 100 of these bad boys, but a 100 year old card with original gloss just makes my day!
