Default Newly discovered T5?

This appears to be a T5 that no longer has it's mount and has long been trimmed. I don't see that 268 was previously checklisted, but the previous numbers that are listed just prior to 268 are fellow NY National players like McGraw.

If I recall correctly the Pinkerton redemption coupon/list had a checklist, but indicated that if you didn't see the player you wanted, you should contact the company, because other players were available.

Years ago, someone had a beautiful T5 listed for sale. It was of a Toledo AA player - unchecklisted, of course. I should have picked that one up when I had a chance!

Not sure if this is the one you are referring to (or if it is unchecklisted) but here is a beautiful T5 of a Toledo player.

Thanks, Leon. Here is one of the Hinchman brothers. It's graded A because at some point SGC stopped giving numeric grades to T5s (which is the point I stopped submitting them and which is why the other Hinchman is raw).

Since I have gotten some PMs about the T5s, I figured I would post another one. I didn't realize I had so many Toledo-related ones.

The fact that several of my T5s have an Ohio connection got me thinking. It turns out Pinkerton Tobacco was based in Zanesville, OH. I'm not sure how widely the cabinets were advertised, but it would make sense that a local promotion would result in more Ohio players being ordered (and thus more surviving). Total speculation on my part. It could also just be a coincidence.

I putting the link to the original item back now that the seller says they don't have anymore to list for sell.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/26568652312...p2047675.l2557

I did end up with one, but it wasn't the McGraw. I did ask if the seller had any information about the origins, but didn't get any more information.

Default Toledo T5's

At one point I had all the listed Toledo T5's including the Joe McCarthy. Sold around 2000 via auction to a board member. In that group was a card in the 1600's that was previously uncataloged. From a low minor league. The group was found at the Golden nugget Sunday flea market in Lambertville NJ.
Another interesting group of T5's I aquired was a group of unmounted Philadelphia A's that were slightly larger than "normal" T5's. The last one I had I sold to Leon about 3 years ago. I purchased them at a Willow Grove show in the late 1970's. And I bought all the Hall of Famers out of the group. Always an interesting issue that gets little love.
