Default Pondering

A few things
1. An awful lot of signed Ruth goudeys coming up for auction these days. Since they are out of my league I haven't tried to see if it is just people flipping or or the high prices are tempting collectors to sell them or are people creating more of them. Or are many of us reaching the age where it is time to liquidate? Any opinions
2. With inflation effecting so many of us- that that made your curb your autograph buying, or sell some of your items and if inflation continues do you think the signed card and tougher hof market will see a dip or hold it's own?
Very curious about all this.
At this stage for me personally, I am 71 and collecting as aggressively as ever though I have slighltly narrowed the parameters of what I collect- to signed pre 1970 HOF on cards, tough HOF I need on any medium if can get for a low price which almost never happens. Trying to do the 1960-1 Fleer baseball greats and the 1960-1 nu card sets too. Also Jewish vintage signed cards

I think those Ruth’s are just getting flipped. Some of the prices for signed rookie cards are out of control. Mantle was a 30k card 2 years ago. Now it’s easily 130-150. Jacking Robinson prices have taken off too. Cards that were maybe 5-7 k two years ago are now pushing 20k. I don’t see how some of these prices are sustainable. It’s also going to start bringing out more fakes.
