Default Walter Payton Crane Card?!?

Does anyone know the authenticity of this card? I’ve seen the disc a lot and especially graded, but I’ve only seen the actual card once on eBay and once on Mercari. Is it reprint or is it legit and how rare is it? Thanks for your insight!

I don't know, but I would put my money on it being a relatively recently made fantasy piece. ETA, if it was legit it would have MSA printed on it prominently. ETA again, thanks for mentioning Mercari, I didn't even know it existed or what it was.

IMO, fantasy piece. I have some square MSA proof cards and they have the printing that would fit inside the disc. If that card were cut into a disc, some of the printing of the front would be cut off.

Thank you guys for the info! I’m glad I reached out before I spent some cash!.

Now, I just gotta find a good deal on the disc! If anyone has a graded Payton disc, please let me know. I’m still looking for a sharp raw Topps RC too.

Nick
