Does anyone know about this set? Were there potentially any reprints made? I have a thin stock card measuring 1 7/16" x 2 1/8" (matches size from what I read) and it does not glow. Smells old too.

Default 1955 AA set

Yes, I am very familiar. Had the full set in uncut sheets, mailer and membership card. Couple years ago PSA started grading them. Obscure set.
Size is right. They are glossy, flimsy and thin. In some instances these are the only cards printed of particular players, like the college basketball All Americans, golfers, boxers, tennis players. The baseball players and football players were NFL and MLB players and likely had Topps or Bowman cards.

The PSA registry drives the sales of these cards for player completion.

Not sure if copies for reproductions exist - hard to duplicate the stock and gloss (kinda like vintage fax paper)

Agree with the comments. The main driver on this set is collectors who are trying for a PSA registry set "master" list for a given player. Here's my Allie Reynolds.

The best one in the set is the pre-rookie of Bill Russell but it is not the one identified as "Bill Russell". That depicts someone else.

These were issued either through, or in conjunction with the Boy Scouts. I once had some original order forms and they had Boy Scouts references.
