Thanks Matt - Im glad you took it as humorous. Too many people get their feather's ruffled too easily around here. Though I am serious about starting a 6th pickup thread in the next day or two - since it apparently doesnt matter how many pick up threads we have, Ive decided that I always want my cards to be first and the only way to insure that is to constantly start new threads everytime I get something. |

As you might have guessed, I started it intentionally based on how the "discussion" thread ended. |

The two newset editions to my T206 Highlander set. The Lenox is my 23rd different back of the 35 possible for the team set. Been so worried about rare backs I don't even have a Piemont 150 or 460. lol |

That's something I'm curious about too. I'm more of a postcard collector than Exhibits, but I knew it was one of Ruth's rarest cards, so I picked it up. I do believe the image is earlier than 1925. Maybe one of our Exhibits experts can shed some light. |

Dave - I know nothing about 1949 Bowman cuts, which is why I put the seller's description in quotes in my post It does look very odd to me - perhaps someone with more knowledge can help clarify. |

I believe the Cobb photo is from a 1920's all-star tour overseas. I had a hard time finding a Cobb auto/photo to slab. Thank you for the compliments. |

Your picture comes from the collection of Mitsuhiko Fujita, grandson of Baron Denzaburo Fujita, who grew up watching and playing baseball in Kobe, Japan. According to Sotheby’s/SCP, which recently auctioned off his collection: “Young Mitsuhiko always carried his camera, taking as many photographs of both the Japanese and American baseball greats as he could. He then had the photographs developed, ready to be signed at the ballpark the following day.” |

I think the same action shot is on his Pinkerton postcard. I would trade it for a PC796 Sepia or Novelty Cutlery Wagner I'll probably sell it in the future to dig out of the holes I'm constanly in from buying other cards. What a hobby !!! |
