Default E91-A American Caramel Roger Bresnahan

I have been chasing this card for 30+ years, and finally found one with perfect registration and no creases. The card looks better in hand than the larger scan!

The images in the "A" set actually show the player identified on the card, whereas, the "B" and "C" sets repeat the poses from the "A" set and do not show the actual player.

Cool pickup Leon!

Patrick

Nice card. If you don't like feeling weird, you can sell it to me and start the search all over again!! After all, they say the hunt is more fun than the catch.

Leon - very interesting Cracker Jack piece!

I may have shown this off here before. Found it a few months ago. It’s an embossed side panel to a Cracker Jack shipping carton, 1912 to 1922 era.

Nice card Patrick...cards in the E91A set seems to be a little more difficult to come by in nice condition such as yours (compared to E91B and E91C).

By the way, almost 1/2 of the E91B have the same artwork AND player designation, and thus also depict the facial likeness of the player.

No need to wait 30 years on getting the E91B of Bresnahan though...he didn't carry over to the E91B set.

Tip of the cap, Patrick.
I felt so lucky when I found mine, a couple of years ago.
Cool thing for me is; I try to stay "old school" as much as I can; an RC is a first appearance in circulated product; excludes, supplements, post cards, game cards and the like.
I strongly believe that the 1908 E91A Bresnahan is his true RC.

I thought that was a neat item too. I wonder if the kid had all his relatives buying tobacco trying to get his baseball card?

Big thanks to Kris19 for this stunner of a Cobb. The grade couldn't be any lower, but the eye appeal is off the charts!

Finally found a #181 with the right amount of centering and registration, unfortunately that stuff costs extra. Also added a nice Collins to my Piedmont portrait run.

Couple low grade pick ups.
Been hunting a T227 Cobb for a long time and the Wojo was a great bonus net54 pick up.
Thanks Jason!

Upgraded Chesbro for my HOF Portrait run. Not in hand yet, but just another great Net54 BST transaction!

It's been a long time since I've posted a card pickup (mostly photos etc these days), but I did get these two guys recently. 1886 Red Stocking Cigar trade cards of Radbourn and Morrill. Taken out of a Boston-area scrapbook, they have sadly been trimmed down quite a bit. Each measures about 5-1/2" x 2.5". As issued they should be 6-1/2" x 3-3/4", so approximately 75% of each card is still present. But the Radbourn I believe is his rookie card, so 75% is better than none.

Any opinions as to whether or not SGC or PSA will authenticate these with the heavy trim? They are definitely (IMO) real RS Cigar cards. Notice around the edges front and back the small bits of red text still left, which align perfectly with the text on the full 1886 cards.
