Default Lot of 25 T206 Tolstoi @ Sunday Heritage

What a great looking lot !!

Which one of you animals powered through & took this to the finish line tonight?

Curious at what the super low pops are in this batch.

Without looking, my guess is the O'Brien and Becker are super tough w Tolstoi backs (especially the Becker). Fun lot to pick-up for someone. Congrats.

Becker is the toughest there's only one in the SGC pop reports and none in the PSA pop report but with PSA is hard to tell because if it wasn't in the pop report (and Becker wasn't) before David Hall left even if you had one graded it wouldn't show in the pop report. Dineen has a combined pop of 4. The next toughest would be O'brien and Myers both with Combined pops of 8.

Not a bad looking lot of cards. There's a few key cards in there, but I never would have thought it would go that high. I have about half of them, and have a 100 Tolstoi's in my set. But I'm still struggling with these new high prices since 2020. If I was starting the T206's today, I'm not sure if I would, or if the current prices would just feel normal to me, and I'd pay the going price to build the set. I guess if you got an early start on the set, you would be greatful for what you got, but if you started now, and never witnessed the 10-15 year ago prices, it probably wouldn't stress you out to make a current purchase. Funny how there are positives either way.

Also, most appear to be in really good shape.

With that in mind, here is my highest graded Tolstoi: SGC 4.5

Would love to see more high graded Tolstois here

Cheers All

I had a lot of fun working on the subset but they eventually became too expensive.

I understand totally. I got to 99 different Tolstoi. Many of them being the lower population ones. When I started buying them, there was usually more than one to choose from. So I would always focus on the lowest population card. I did my T206 purchases like this for the first few years, until the rare cards started to dry up.

I have a few Tolstoi's: Snodgrass, Davis, Schreck, Sheckard, Knabe, Doyle, Geyer. Snodgrass is the nicest one.
