Default Need Some Help T206 Rarest/Toughest List

I read up on T206 Insider about the toughest 100 after the rarest 6. Assuming I read his site right, I still need an understanding, excluding Southern League & Minor League of the toughest combos/cards based on what I read:

Lundgren (Chicago) 150 series
J. Doyle NY 350 series
Ames (Hands at Chest) 150 series
Frank Smith (Chicago and Boston) 460 series
Schulte (front pose) Cubs 150 AND possibly Piedmont 350
Elberfield (Washington portrait) 350 series
Titus
Donlin (Fielding) 150 series
Hanley Piedmont 350
Brown (Chicago) batting 150
Larry Doyle Throwing 150
Magee portrait 150 series
Pattee horizontal 150 series
Mullin (Tigers) with Bat 350/460

I will stop this far down. If anyone can help, clarify, or correct my understanding, IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!!!!

THANK YOU—-James

Hanley?? I hope thats a typo, haha

James, where are you getting this list from? What is your question?

Toughest ten cards excluding southern and minor leaguers, or what?

I found the list that you are referring. You are using the T206 Insider checklist and sorting by scarcity, right? Then just overlooking the minor and southern leaguers?

The list looks pretty good, you could cross check those first ten by adding their total combined pop from PSA and SGC and seeing if the numbers jive I guess

Good Luck in your quest

It looks like you are talking about front-back combos here too, in which case your list would be pretty much by the back scarcity order. For example, there may be only 15 graded Piedmont 350 Lundgrens (I don't know how many there are as I didn't check) but there will only likely be 1-3 of every Broadleaf 460 card, no matter the player. Then there are some low pop front-back combinations from the more common backs that are pretty uncommon. At some point pretty well down that list sorted by back scarcity, Wagner and Plank will enter the list.

If you are asking which player is toughest and ignoring the backs altogether, that is another question.

I don't believe that Titus should be on the list. I believe that is a card that shot up in value because one person started buying them up. Prior to that there was zero premium to the card.

I have collected a large number of Magee portraits and I can tell you that without question the P150 reverse is his most common front/back combo.
