I've never, ever seen blank back T-220's before. No way to tell from the scans but I would assume they're fake without a better look or actually handling them.

The curl leaves me suspicious, though, especially if they are machine cut. The only scrap from this set that I've ever seen was a reversed back and was hand-cut. If you want to send one to me I can take a look. LMK

They do look like re-prints on nice white paper.

I came across something similar to this not long ago (ie blank backs T cards). I guess everyone has seen a blank backed T225, but has anyone seen a blank backed T223 ? Somebody emailed me about a set of blank backed T223's, on thick card stock (like an ad poster). The thing is though, I have never seen a T223 ad poster.

First the Red Cross N266 Cards, then these T220's and now the T223's David mentions...............all recently appearing in blank back form? Or are these the same as the T223's?

Either way something fishy going on here.

I was contacted on the T223s as well. I may be reviewing a sample. It seems very unlikely to me that these are all of a sudden surfacing. Something's stinky in the popourri.

I agree that they look too white and vibrant and I've only seen scans and don't have them in hand to examine them in person, but....I wanted to add that these came from a long time tobacco card collector's collection and while I'm not sure how long they were owned, I would think a tobacco card collector would be able to ID a modern reproduction with little trouble. Just wanted to throw that out. I do have large scans if anyone wants to look at them. Keith
