Hey Chuck,
down to Orange Cobb & Wagner, Red Matty. Got a line on one or two but any member help would be greatly appreciated.
Tx,
Phil

Does taking a card from the "for sale" bucket and putting it into the "collection bucket" count?
Collecting when flipping = addiction.

That's always been the way I've done it off the B/S/T. Take it from the For Sale from Leon...put in recent pickups!

Very happy to pick up this major addition to my T3 collection. The Grey Eagle doesn't come up for sale that often, especially in my wheel house, which is lower grade or ungraded with nice eye appeal.

Default Number 386 in the rebuilt Howe McCormick collection finally arrived today

It was a two and a half week trip from Atlanta but worth the wait.

A guy from Wyoming re-collecting a collection of a guy from Florida from 110 years ago. What a great saga this has been! I'll bet you're tickled with Congalton, a vibrant card with a nice clear stamp.

Default Thanks, David and Patrick

Wouldn’t happen without the Internet and the help of a lot of folks on this board.

Funny thing, after 386, I’ve never found a Howe-stamped card in person. Been the first to see one on eBay several times. Even hit BiN one time before the seller had gotten their message that the card had been listed. But I’ve never seen one at a shop or show.

Thanks to everyone who keeps an eye out for them.

Congrats! That's a hell of a 2. I need that one for my Speaker collection. My last Speaker pick up was 1915 CJ because it was in my price range (writing on front). I'll have to splurge more than usual to get a T3.

Added a few M101-2 HOFers and a couple others this month. Now up to 66/100 on the set, with 28/40 HOFers. Bresnahan is a little chewy but it's #1 in the set and doesn't come up much, so I figured I should jump on it when I had the opportunity.

I was way more than happy to win this T210 Coyle last night. Hopefully it is just a place holder until something better shows up. I now have 11 of the 16 Ft Worth cards.

Thanks Tim, I appreciate it. And Speaker must be a fun player to collect! I think he's underrated, or at least less well known than he should be given his tremendous career, offensively and defensively. Nice CJ. I don't mind the writing, kind of like stamps it adds a personal element to the card. Check your net54 inbox for a PM.

That's awesome. I usually can barely differentiate brown from black, but that one is bold.

and this R314 was just in a pile. Not a for-sale pile or a collection pile. Just a pile. So I added it...

Thanks Leon and Phil.

No, not a previously unknown combo. There is another one that Sonny owns (used to belong to Derek H). But there was only one known, and now we found the twin. I think it’s pretty well established that all brown old mills have/had a twin

Another card added from the pile without a name. I have had this one for 6 yrs and it was just sitting there, in between being sold or collected. It was non binary LOL

Thanks Phil! Very pleased to add this one to my growing, fledgling CJ collection!
I enjoy seeing you and the other CJ collectors post what you have periodically as well! As we all know the 14's can get pricey even for commons and some players don't come up for sale very often in any grade so I will be taking it slow in completing this set posting my progress in my signature line as I add cards to it.

In hand this one has four sharp corners so I believe the excessive stains on the front and back are the reason for the assigned grade and why the graders didn't go any higher.

Just got my first m113 a few days ago. I knew they were big but I didn't realize how big until I got it in hand. Does anyone know if Hank Gowdy was lying about his age? He looks really old for a 24 year old.

Thanks Chad,
I'm sure there's more beautiful examples of this card but I haven't seen one. Something about green label cards just have a really nice quality about them.

One of the prettiest cards in the hobby, IMO. I have an SGC which annoyingly received an "A".. I called them and spoke to them and they told me it was because it had pinholes and someone tried to cover them up. Which even if true seems weird. To me it looks like it's more oxidation from whatever metal was used to pin the card up.

Nice pick-ups, y'all. Glad to add this Nap Lajoie. I upgraded from a beater. Let me know, and I can give you a good deal on the beater.

Last day of September and this bad boy arrived. EBay was kind to me last weekend.

Thanks. I have a T3 that was "restored" when someone filled in holes. See below, at least three holes along the top. I acquired it in a T3 lot from REA. REA properly identified it as such in the listing.
