Default 1964 World Series cartoon

This is a long shot, but does anybody have any idea where this was published (assuming it was)? I think it's from the 1964 World Series since game 1 between the Cards & Yanks was Oct 7, but I haven't had any luck tracking it down. Thanks.

NM.

Thought it might've been from Topps Vault, based on the thin horizontal format and style of numbering. But I see now that it's a Gallo and appeared in a publication, as opposed to the back of a card.

Thanks for the reply! I wasn't familiar with Bill Gallo. After looking at his stuff online this doesn't really look like his work to me, but I'm obviously no expert. Still looking...

Coincidentally this was included in a lot of Topps Vault art I recently bought. It stands out as being different from the others (size & style) so I assume it's newspaper art but could be wrong.

Is there any writing or stampings on the reverse side?

Just a small red crayon scribble. I have probably 100 or so Topps Vault card art pieces, this looks/feels different than those.

I'm assuming that you got this at the Huggins and Scott auction.

Don't know where it was published, but just wanted to say congrats. I was the underbidder.

If you go back to the description, it was listed as a "Newspaper illustration that is not card related."

That's not Bill Gallo's style nor is it close to being his signature.

Thanks. Yes that's where I got it. Apparently they didn't know where it came from either so I'm trying to track it down. Might not happen, but you never know on this board. There might be somebody that recognizes it.

I would think it more likely that a NY illustrator would depict the Cards being handed to Berra on a platter.

Where is there a signature? You're not mistaking the shoe of the mostly out-of-sight figure
approaching from the left, are you?
