Default 1961 Fleer Baseball Stars and 7-Up connection?

Just bought a #7 Dave Bancroft and it has a rubber stamp on back that says "7-Up".

Do you think this was some sort of promo for the soft drink or just stamped by a local retailer as a giveaway. Are there others out there? The stamp looks like it was made specifically for 7-Up since it's stylized. Was there any connection between Fleer and 7-Up?

Default 1961 Fleer

John-- I collect the Fleer sets, 1923 and 1959 to 2007. I have not seen such a stamp before, and have not heard of a production or distribution arrangement between Fleer and 7 up, but who knows. Neat item. Another hobby mystery

Thanks; probably a one-off from a mom and pop store.
