Private message issues?

There is a member not receiving emails when he gets a PM. He says it started happening around a week or so ago.
Anyone else?
Personally, I don't get them but I am on here frequently so it's not an issue.

Leon, yes, I have noticed that I am not getting email notification when there is a PM. About a week now or so. No biggie, just addressing your question.

I believe that I always get email notification of PMs.


Is the "Receive Email Notification of New Private Messages" box checked in "Messaging & Notification" under "Edit Options" in the "Control Panel"?

Yes, I have a buyer on the bst that is having message issues and said he wasn't getting notifications. I have reached out twice since then to no avail. Trying to get his address, so aaamchenry please contact me.

Yes, I just noticed it today. Not getting e-mails when I get a PM. Even checked my settings and it was checked that I'm supposed to get e-mails.

Email notifications stop last week around Wednesday or Thursday not a serious issues since many of us are on the forum often so we see it on the top of the page

The hosting company said they rebooted the mail server last night. Apparently that didn't work. I will be working on it today. Sorry for the inconvenience

I haven't been getting emails either but I log in here more often than I check my emails so I usually know about the pm's here first anyhow on the other hand for a few days it's been taking a long time for a post to go through after I hit submit, is anyone else having this happen?

lol now this is the first one recently that went right through, kind of like taking your vehicle to a mechanic and telling them about an odd noise or something and it doesn't do it while you're there.

Yes, it takes about 30 seconds between clicking submit and it actually posting for the last week or so for me, cross device and cross network.

Definitely a delay for me after clicking Submit Reply - maybe 15 seconds when I have an attachment. This post was immediate so maybe it's only attachments that are causing problems?

I am still checking into the issues. One reason there could be slower downloads is that we increased the picture size limit a lot. It still shouldn't be the way it is though..

Leon, I think that increase happened a while ago, but it's only been the last week or so that I remember posts taking a while to load.

This happens for me without image attachments. Posts with an image definitely have an additional delay and always have, only the last couple weeks has their been an unusual processing time of pure text posts.

I get a few notifications in my SPAM folder but for the last few months or more almost nothing. I just figured it was part of the new system...... makes me log on more often!!! Rocky

As I was on the phone, for a few hours this afternoon....maybe an hour ago, the hosting company engineer said he saw emails going through the system. Lots of them....maybe 65 and counting at that time. We have changed email servers and things are still being worked on. thanks for everyone's patience.
