battlefield0516 is a person named Carol who resides in Dothan, Alabama. I won a couple of the raw T205 auctions that ended on May 5th. When I received the cards I was really disappointed. The backs of both cards had thick, dark, golden brown, horizontal lines covering them. They looked awful!

I usually don't bid on listings without back scans, but took my chances based on the very positive descriptions and the return policy. I've requested a refund and mailed the cards back recently. The person has been cooperative so far.

The front scans for the T205s I won didn't appear to be photoshopped, but the cards were definitely removed from a scrapbook. I noticed the person listed more T205s yesterday and none of the listings have back scans.

The seller sells a lot of legit cards with only a few shopped cards (usually higher priced) mixed in. That's why they still get a high volume of positive feedback.

There have been threads about this seller in the past selling fake cards. I gave him an earful at that time and reported him to ebay. All I got for it was a nasty response and he banned me from bidding in his auctions.

This is a good thing. Anyone who wants to be sure to never make the mistake of bidding in his auctions should give him an earful. He is sure to ban you for it

Haha you make a good point I'll give him an earful this weekend after a few pints. I'll do myself a favor by getting banned !

Another idea is a mass messaging him from people on this board to piss him off no ?

I don't know if it will accomplish anything, but I just reported one of their listings using:

listing practices>fraudulent listing activities>you suspect that a listing is fraudulent

Maybe if we all do this, ebay will take notice.

It appears that the T205 Joss is no longer at auction and has been taken down.

I won a couple of these T205's a week or so ago and all of the pics were photoshopped and the backs were the same as the ones you got with thick, dark, golden brown, horizontal lines covering them.

http://t205photos.webs.com/

First pic is the one in the eBay listing and the other two are of the card I received complete with a few creases, a lot more edge chipping and of course the horrible back.

I still haven't received a response from them though and this is day 5. I'm starting to get a little upset about it. What else did you guys do to get a response from this idiot?

Unbelievable!!

Below every E-Bay listing at the bottom, there is a Security tab. I searched to the best of my ability and most seem to protect the seller, not the buyer?

I did find something yesterday that I can't locate today, and I wrote or filed a complaint but as of yet, I have heard nothing.
I did find this but I don't think it's what I used yesterday? Nothing easy about the process trying to tell E-Bay about these types of dis-honest sellers!

I am having an interesting transaction with Battlefieldsd at the moment. I bid and won several cards from her to see if I could spot the photo shopping that seems to be the major complaint lodged against her. In an auction just a few weeks back, I won, among other cards, a '54 Topps Ford and a '69 Topps RC Jackson. The cards were the same as listed on her Ebay auction. Her scans and my loop confirmed that. But the Whitey had a serious ding on the upper left border and the Reggie a tiny corner crinkle not shown on her scan under high magnification. I sent her an email detailing the problem and asking how she would like to handle the matter. No reply, enough already, so yesterday I emailed again that I intended to return the cards for a full refund, would be leaving negative feedback and opening her to the full fury of the Net54 Board seriously, I think this forum has a positive influence on marketplace activities) unless I had some response by today. Nothing yet. Watch this page for further news.

imagine if there were no psa or sgc etc. We would have 1000s of returns and mis characterizations of condition. For the cheaper cards i think some people dont want to deal with going through the process of the return and eat the card... it does appear you will get a full refund and we will see those cards again for auction go for more than they went for when they were originally sold graded.

Quite likely your eBay account will be suspended for threatening negative feedback before the case has settled. She could definitely have your negative feedback removed if you threatened it in advance. If you get a full refund after you return the cards, is your experience still negative, or is it Neutral?
She's doing the wrong things, but you are too.

If you read the feedback, she's notorious for not replying to emails.

She has sold this same card multiple times. I really wish ebay would ban her. I recall in the late 90's, early 00's sellers would get banned. Ebay needs to update their polices.

Well, it sure doesn't seem like Battlefield has changed her ways any.
These are mostly from within the last month, and looking at some 52 Topps cards she currently has on E-Bay, which look exceptional, one can only conclude, again, that she is hasn't changed one bit.

I was set up at a show yesterday. A guy comes up to me and tells me he is bidding on a nrmt or better 55 Clemente on ebay. I asked him if the seller was Battlefield? He said "what?" He looked and it was her/him/them. I told him of our stories. He didn't know who the seller was nor what their feedback was AND he was bidding on $1500+ card, raw. That is when I saw their new listing and they aren't covering their butts the way they were recently in other ads. That said, they had about 135 Negs in the last year but not that many the last few months (still way too many but less than before). Back to reporting her/he/them for their misdeeds.

Yep. In one of the many negative feedbacks was a 51 Bowman Mantle., slabbed/graded. I was watching it a bit before it sold and wondered if I'd ever see any feedback about it? It was a $10,000+ dollar card, and although the purchaser doesn't get into details about the card, my gut told me it wasn't the last time I'd see or hear about it.
Also, that Mantle is not the only graded/slabbed card in her negative feedback. Seems she can't even be honest about those, and with most people thinking pics of slabbed/graded cards are likely unaltered/photoshopped, she has taken it to a whole new level!

I've only bought low dollar centered 57s which were actually rather nice. I've never dared to buy high dollar cards from battlefield. I've bought from the two "phenomenal" sellers..."really_bad_cards", and that was enough.

So looking at the expanded pic closely of the '51 mantle I noticed the lower right corner looks photoshopped. The corner is a bit discolored and may actually be dinged badly.

I've been tempted with some of her 52's but since most look phenomenal, I have steered clear knowing they likely aren't what they appear to be.
Some of the prices, if they were in the exact condition as shown and described, would be pretty good deals, imo, but knowing her/them and what they are doing to the hobby, and people in general, I just can't do it.
