Default 1987 fleer wax break

Got real itchy after the 54 set break to open some packs. Found an 87 fleer box on ebay for 22 dollars free shipping, about to break it open. I can remember when they were 3 dollars a pack, crazy. Anyway, will post results later but was wondering, what was the last "vintage" say 1981-1988 box you broke just for fun? Did it scratch the itch? Anyone else do this once in a while?

I broke a box of '87 Topps about 10 years ago. I think it scratched the itch for about 10 minutes. Then I realized I had more 80s cards to organize, store and never look at.

More recently I bought some '78-79 Topps basketball packs and put together most of the set in NMT from 16 packs. That was one of the first sets I ever collected as a kid and was more fun. The cards next to the gum had the craziest wax stain I've ever seen. Makes you wonder what they put in the gum. Those cards looked to be chemically altered.

Results: Bonds, Clark, Larkin rookies. Bonds and Clark in same pack. Imagine the commotion that would've caused in a card shop in 1987? I already have one set, but don't have a ton of 80's stuff anymore so this was fun.
