Default Vintage memorabilia autographed question

Hello there.
Question please:
I was doing some cleaning and went through some old memorabilia boxes, I noticed some autographs are fading. Is there anything that can be used to stop that and preserve them? A baseball ball, boxing glove and one soccer ball have partially fsded signatures.
Items are in plastic containers, I noticed some white dust on a few soccer balls and cover them in plastic, I dropped inside the container one of those humidity packs.

Unfortunately if the wrong implement is used there is precious little you can do. Most of what you are seeing isn't fading, it's bleeding where the ink spreads into the surface of the ball.

Nope, those autos are basically hosed. Only get worse from there.

Combination of humidity/leather surface/sharpie marker etc. There are a lot of awful autographs on cheap non-official MLB balls, but the ones on ROMLB balls seem to hold up much better because the leather is real, not gore-tex or pleather, or whatever.
